Bengaluru: An initiative using modern technology to remove weeds from Madiwala Lake, located within the South City Corporation limits, has been launched.

Chief Commissioner of the GBA (Greater Bengaluru Authority), Maheshwar Rao, inaugurated the project on Tuesday, which was originally approved during the BBMP tenure.

While launching the experimental run of the state-of-the-art weed-clearing machine at Madiwala Lake, the Commissioner instructed officials to deploy the machine in other lakes as per requirement.

Lake Development Projects

Madiwala Lake is being developed at a cost of ₹15 crore. Several projects are currently underway, including:

 * Development of walking paths and sluice gates.

 * Construction of children’s play areas and bridges.

 * Installation of street lights and toilets.

The Commissioner directed officials to expedite these works and complete them quickly. He also requested a feasibility study to restart boating facilities and transform Madiwala Lake into a prominent tourism spot.

Executive Engineer Nitya provided the following details regarding the new machinery:

Technical Details: "Rudra Aqua Max"

 * Model: The corporation purchased the advanced "Rudra Aqua Max" machine for ₹1.28 crore.

 * Storage: It has the capacity to collect up to 5 tons of weeds in a single trip.

 * Monitoring: Equipped with live GPS tracking, safety sensors, and cameras, allowing the control room to monitor exactly where and for how long the machine is operating.

 * Maintenance: The firm Autocracy Machinery will handle maintenance for three years. They are responsible for any technical issues during this period.

 * Operational Costs: The Corporation will provide approximately 10 liters of diesel per day and cover the driver's salary.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮಡಿವಾಳ ಕೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆ ತೆಗೆಯಲು ಆಧುನಿಕ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದ ಯಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬಳಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ.

ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಮೋದನೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಜಿಬಿಎ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಮಹೇಶ್ವರ್‌ ರಾವ್‌ ಅವರು ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಕೆರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜಲಕಳೆ ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ಕಳೆ ತೆಗೆಯುವ ಯಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಖರೀದಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಡಿವಾಳ ಕೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆ ತೆಗೆಯುವ ಯಂತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅಗತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಇತರೆ ಕೆರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರು.

 ಮಡಿವಾಳ ಕೆರೆಯನ್ನು ₹15 ಕೋಟಿ ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ವಾಯು ವಿಹಾರ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ, ತೂಬುಗಳ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ, ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಆಟದ ಪ್ರದೇಶ, ಬೀದಿ ದೀಪಗಳ ಅಳವಡಿಕೆ, ಶೌಚಾಲಯ, ಬ್ರಿಡ್ಜ್ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇನ್ನಿತರೆ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ಪ್ರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿವೆ. ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವೇಗ ನೀಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಮಡಿವಾಳ ಕೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬೋಟಿಂಗ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಇತ್ತು. ಅದನ್ನು ಮರುಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸುವುದು ಹಾಗೂ ಮಡಿವಾಳ ಕೆರೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ  ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

 

ಪ್ರತಿ ನಿತ್ಯ 10 ಲೀಟರ್‌ ಡೀಸೆಲ್‌

ರುದ್ರ ಆಕ್ವಾ ಮ್ಯಾಕ್ಸ್ ಎಂಬ ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ಕಳೆ ತೆಗೆಯುವ ಯಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ₹1.28 ಕೋಟಿ ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯು ಖರೀದಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಯಂತ್ರವು  ಒಂದು ಬಾರಿ 5 ಟನ್‌ಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಕಳೆ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸುವ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಇದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಲೈವ್ ಜಿಪಿಎಸ್ ಟ್ರ್ಯಾಕಿಂಗ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ, ಸುರಕ್ಷತಾ ಸೆನ್ಸರ್‌ಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಯಂತ್ರ ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಮಯ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಕೊಠಡಿಯಿಂದ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಕಾರ್ಯಪಾಲಕ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್‌ ನಿತ್ಯಾ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಈ ಯಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಆಟೋಕ್ರಸಿ ಮಿಷಿನರಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಂತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಎದುರಾದರೂ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯೇ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿನಿತ್ಯ ಸುಮಾರು 10 ಲೀಟರ್‌ ಡೀಸೆಲ್‌ ಹಾಗೂ ಚಾಲಕನ ವೇತನವನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ನೀಡಲಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
