Draft Reservation for Wards of Five City Corporations Published… EAST 

Bengaluru: Following the final notification of wards for the five city corporations under the GBA (Greater Bengaluru Area) jurisdiction, the Urban Development Department has issued a draft notification fixing the reservation for these wards.  

The final notification finalizing the 369 wards of the five city corporations was issued on November 19.

Bengaluru: Following the final notification of wards for the five city corporations under the GBA (Greater Bengaluru Area) jurisdiction, the Urban Development Department has issued a draft notification fixing the reservation for these wards.  

The final notification finalizing the 369 wards of the five city corporations was issued on November 19.  

The ward reservation for the Bengaluru South City Corporation is as follows:

The draft ward-wise reservation for the 72 wards of the newly established Bengaluru South City Corporation. 

This follows the prior delimitation of these wards published in November and December 2025.

The reservations are based on the 2011 Census and guidelines issued on 19-12-2025.

Bengaluru: Following the final notification of wards for the five city corporations under the GBA (Greater Bengaluru Area) jurisdiction, the Urban Development Department has issued a draft notification fixing the reservation for these wards.  

The final notification finalizing the 369 wards of the five city corporations was issued on November 19.  

The ward reservation for the Bengaluru North City Corporation is as follows:

The draft ward-wise reservation has been fixed for the 72 wards of the Bengaluru North City Corporation based on the 2011 Census.  

• Submission of Objections: Written objections can be submitted within 15 days from the date of publication of this notification (i.e., by 5:30 PM on 23-01-2026).  

The total distribution of seats for the 72 wards is as follows:

ಐದು ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳ 369 ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಅಂತಿಮಗೊಳಿಸಿ ನವೆಂಬರ್ 19ರಂದು ಅಂತಿಮ ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

 * ಆಕ್ಷೇಪಣೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಕೆ: ಈ ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆಯು ಪ್ರಕಟಗೊಂಡ ದಿನಾಂಕದಿಂದ 15 ದಿನಗಳ ಒಳಗಾಗಿ (ಅಂದರೆ 23-01-2026ರ ಸಂಜೆ 5.30ರ ಒಳಗೆ) ಲಿಖಿತ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕ್ಷೇಪಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಬಹುದು.

Manure from wet waste in all 369 wards of Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Units to produce manure from wet waste will be established across 369 wards of the five municipal corporations under the GBA (Greater Bengaluru Area) limits, announced A.N. Nataraj, Chairman of the Karnataka Compost Development Corporation (KCDC), during a press conference on Tuesday.

"If Bengaluru citizens segregate wet and dry waste, it will help maintain city cleanliness and support manure production. We intend to set up units in every ward to process wet waste into compost. This does not require much space and will be established in available areas," he said.

Purchase of Manure:

A plan is being formulated to reduce the burden of waste transportation by installing waste processing units in major commercial complexes and residential apartments. Just as rainwater harvesting was made mandatory, there are thoughts on making the installation of wet waste composting units compulsory. Nataraj stated that the KCDC would purchase the manure produced in these locations.

Green Manure in Parks:

"Compost pits" will be set up in the city's large parks to convert fallen leaves and wet waste into manure. After using the required amount for the park itself, the surplus will be sold.

Odor Control:

New scientific measures have been implemented to control odors so that residents living near processing units are not inconvenienced. By adopting modern technology and scientific methods, manure production will be increased. A special campaign will be launched to deliver manure to farmers in a timely manner through 'Raitha Samparka Kendras' (Farmer Liaison Centers).

‘Zero Waste City’

"KCDC has formulated new plans to make Bengaluru a Zero Waste City. Proposals have been submitted to the Urban Development Department and Greater Bengaluru authorities. Once approved, the plan is for KCDC to convert all of the approximately 1,500 tonnes of wet waste generated daily in the city into manure," the Chairman explained.

He added that modern technology is being adopted to quickly convert daily wet waste into compost, with cooperation from various NGOs.

5,000 Tonnes of Manure Sold

A.N. Nataraj also shared that 5,000 tonnes of manure stocked in six KCDC units were sold to farmers across various districts at subsidized rates within the last two months.

"The price for manure produced from wet waste was fixed at ₹3,600 per tonne. However, after obtaining government permission, it was sold to farmers at ₹2,000 per tonne," he said.

"Using compost made from wet waste increases soil fertility and results in better crops. The Corporation’s goal is to ensure farmers get manure on time and achieve better yields," he concluded.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಜಿಬಿಎ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಐದು ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳ 369 ವಾರ್ಡ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಸಿ ಕಸದಿಂದ ಗೊಬ್ಬರ ತಯಾರಿಸುವ ಘಟಕಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಕಾಂಪೋಸ್ಟ್ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ನಿಗಮದ (ಕೆಸಿಡಿಸಿ) ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಎ.ಎನ್‌. ನಟರಾಜ್‌ ಅವರು ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

 ‘ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರದ ನಾಗರಿಕರು ಹಸಿ ಕಸ, ಒಣಕಸ ವಿಂಗಡನೆ ಮಾಡುವುದರಿಂದ ನಗರ ಸ್ವಚ್ಚತೆ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಗೊಬ್ಬರ ತಯಾರಿಕೆಗೆ ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಘಟಕಗಳ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲ ವಾರ್ಡ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಹಸಿ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯದಿಂದ ಗೊಬ್ಬರ ತಯಾರಿಸಲು ಘಟಕ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲು ಉದ್ಧೇಶಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸ್ಥಳದ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಲಭ್ಯವಿರುವ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲೇ ಘಟಕ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ’ ಎಂದರು.

 ಗೊಬ್ಬರ ಖರೀದಿ: 

ಪ್ರಮುಖ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣಗಳು  ಹಾಗೂ ವಸತಿ ಸಮುಚ್ಚಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ (ಅಪಾರ್ಟ್‌ಮೆಂಟ್‌) ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕರಣಾ ಘಟಕಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಸಾಗಾಣಿಕೆ ಹೊರೆಯನ್ನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಲು ಯೋಜನೆ ರೂಪಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮಳೆ ನೀರು ಕೊಯ್ಲು ಕಡ್ಡಾಯಗೊಳಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಹಸಿ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಗೊಬ್ಬರವಾಗಿಸುವ ಘಟಕ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವುದನ್ನೂ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಚಿಂತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆಯಾಗುವ  ಕಸವನ್ನು ಕೆಸಿಡಿಸಿ ಖರೀದಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ನಟರಾಜ್‌ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಉದ್ಯಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಸಿರು ಗೊಬ್ಬರ: ನಗರದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಉದ್ಯಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಕಾಂಪೋಸ್ಟ್ ಘಟಕ’ಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಹಸಿ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಗೊಬ್ಬರವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಉದ್ಯಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾದಷ್ಟು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಉಳಿದಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾರಾಟ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ದುರ್ವಾಸನೆ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ: 

ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕರಣಾ ಘಟಕದ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತೊಂದರೆಯಾಗದಂತೆ ವಾಸನೆ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಸ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಜಾರಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.  ಆಧುನಿಕ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ , ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಕ್ರಮ ಅಳವಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ಗೊಬ್ಬರ ತಯಾರಿಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಾಡುವುದು. ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಸಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಗೊಬ್ಬರ ತಲುಪಿಸಲು ರೈತ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಮೂಲಕ ಗೊಬ್ಬರ ತಲುಪಿಸುವ ವಿಶೇಷ ಅಭಿಯಾನ ಮೂಲಕ ತಲುಪಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

 

‘ಶೂನ್ಯ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ನಗರ’

‘ಬೆಂಗಳೂರನ್ನು ಶೂನ್ಯ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ನಗರವನ್ನಾಗಿಸಲು ಕೆಸಿಡಿಸಿ ಹೊಸ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ನಗರಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಗ್ರೇಟರ್‌ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಸಮ್ಮತಿ ದೊರೆತ ಕೂಡಲೇ, ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿನಿತ್ಯ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆಯಾಗುವ ಸುಮಾರು 1,500 ಟನ್‌ ಹಸಿ ಕಸ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಅದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಕೆಸಿಡಿಸಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ಗೊಬ್ಬರವನ್ನಾಗಿಸುವ ಯೋಜನೆ ಹೊಂದಲಾಗಿದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಕೆಸಿಡಿಸಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ನಟರಾಜ್‌ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಪ್ರತಿನಿತ್ಯ ಉತ್ಪತ್ತಿಯಾಗುವ ಹಸಿ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ತ್ವರಿತವಾಗಿ ಗೊಬ್ಬರವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸಲು ಆಧುನಿಕ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಎನ್‌ಜಿಒಗಳ ಸಹಕಾರವನ್ನೂ ಪಡೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

 

5 ಸಾವಿರ ಗೊಬ್ಬರ ಮಾರಾಟ

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಕಾಂಪೋಸ್ಟ್ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ನಿಗಮದ ಆರು ಘಟಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಸ್ತಾನಿದ್ದ ಐದು ಸಾವಿರ ಟನ್‌ ಗೊಬ್ಬರವನ್ನು ವಿವಿಧ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಸಬ್ಸಿಡಿ ದರದಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾರಾಟ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನಿಗಮದ ಅಧರ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಎ.ಎನ್‌. ನಟರಾಜ್‌ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

‘ಹಸಿ ಕಸದಿಂದ ತಯಾರಿಸಿದ ಗೊಬ್ಬರಕ್ಕೆ ಟನ್‌ವೊಂದಕ್ಕೆ ₹3,600 ನಿಗದಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಅನುಮತಿ ಪಡೆದು, ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ಟನ್‌ಗೆ ₹2,000ದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾರಾಟ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ’ ಎಂದರು.

 ‘ಹಸಿ ಕಸದ ಗೊಬ್ಬರ ಬಳಕೆಯಿಂದ ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಫಲವತ್ತತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ, ಉತ್ತಮ ಬೇಳೆ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ. ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಸಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಗೊಬ್ಬರ ಸಿಗಬೇಕು, ಉತ್ತಮ ಇಳುವರಿಯಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದು ನಿಗಮದ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾಗಿದೆ’ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

Bengaluru: The Urban Development Department has issued a final notification significantly reducing the setback requirements for buildings on plots up to 2,690 square feet in the city.

According to the order dated January 5, the final notification was issued after incorporating public objections received over 30 days following the draft notification released on November 11, 2025.

The method of determining setbacks based on the length and width of the plot has been scrapped; instead, setbacks are now fixed based on the total square meters of the plot. Accordingly, for plots up to 60 square meters (approx. 600 sq. ft.), no setback is required at the rear. A front setback of 0.75m (2.5 ft) and a side setback (left or right) of 0.6m (2 ft) have been mandated.

Reduced setbacks have been fixed for buildings on plots up to 1,500 sq. ft. These new rules will also apply to buildings already constructed. Additionally, significant concessions have been given for plots of 250 square meters (approx. 60x40 ft). Under the new rules, buildings up to four floors (including stilt parking) can be constructed, provided the height does not exceed 12 meters.

Under previous rules, 20x30 ft plots required a 1-meter (3 ft 4 in) setback all around, while 30x40 ft plots required a 1.5-meter (5 ft) setback.

As per the new regulations, Transferable Development Rights (TDR) and Premium FAR (Floor Area Ratio) can also be utilized for 250 sq. m. plots facing a 30-foot road.

6 Houses on 60x40 Plots

The new rules allow a maximum of six houses to be built on plots ranging from 200 sq. m. to 360 sq. m. Previously, only four houses were permitted on a 60x40 ft plot. Furthermore, eight houses can now be built on plots ranging from 360 sq. m. to 750 sq. m. All such plots must have a minimum road width of 9 meters (30 ft).

Exemption for Ramps

The rule requiring ramps in apartments and commercial complexes to be built outside the setback area has been scrapped. The setback area can now be used for vehicle ramps. This space can also be used for car lifts to move vehicles between floors. Specific ramp widths and numbers have been fixed for parking capacities ranging from 25 to 800 cars.

Concessions for Industries

Significant concessions have been granted for industrial buildings on plots up to 500 sq. m. The previous rule requiring a 4.5-meter setback all around has been changed. Now, setbacks are fixed at 12% of the plot depth for the front and 8% for the rear and sides.

Industrial Setbacks:

 * 500 to 1,000 sq. m.: 4.50m (Front) | 4.50m (Rear/Sides)

 * 1,000 to 3,000 sq. m.: 6m (Front) | 6m (Rear/Sides)

 * Above 3,000 sq. m.: 10m (Front) | 8m (Rear/Sides)

2025ರ ನವೆಂಬರ್‌ 11ರ ಕರಡು ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆಯ ನಂತರ 30 ದಿನ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಂದ ಆಕ್ಷೇಪಣೆ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿ ಅಂತಿಮ ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಜ.5ರ ಆದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ನಿವೇಶನದ ಉದ್ದ–ಅಗಲಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಸೆಟ್‌ಬ್ಯಾಕ್‌ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಚದರ ಮೀಟರ್‌ಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಸೆಟ್‌ಬ್ಯಾಕ್‌ ಅನ್ನು ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರಂತೆ, 60 ಚದರ ಮೀಟರ್‌ವರೆಗಿನ (600 ಚದರಡಿ) ನಿವೇಶನದ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಹಿಂಭಾಗ ಸೆಟ್‌ಬ್ಯಾಕ್‌ ಬಿಡುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ. ಮುಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ 0.75 ಮೀ (ಎರಡೂವರೆ ಅಡಿ), ಎಡ ಅಥವಾ ಬಲ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ 0.6 ಮೀ (ಎರಡು ಅಡಿ) ಜಾಗ ಬಿಡಲು ನಿಗದಿಯಾಗಿದೆ.

1,500 ಚದರಡಿ ನಿವೇಶನದವರೆಗಿನ ಕಟ್ಟಡಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಸ ಸೆಟ್‌ಬ್ಯಾಕ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಸೆಟ್‌ಬ್ಯಾಕ್‌ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಿರುವ ಕಟ್ಟಡಗಳಿಗೂ ಅನ್ವಯಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ 250 ಚದರ ಮೀಟರ್‌ (ಸುಮಾರು 60 ಅಡಿ x 40 ಅಡಿ) ನಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗುವ ಕಟ್ಟಡಕ್ಕೂ ಸೆಟ್‌ಬ್ಯಾಕ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರಿ ರಿಯಾಯಿತಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಹೊಸ ಸೆಟ್‌ಬ್ಯಾಕ್‌ನಂತೆ, ಸ್ಟಿಲ್ಟ್‌ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಅಂತಸ್ತು ಕಟ್ಟಡಗಳನ್ನು 12 ಮೀಟರ್‌ ಎತ್ತರ ಮೀರದಂತೆ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ.

ಹಿಂದಿನ ನಿಯಮಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, 20 ಅಡಿ x 30 ಅಡಿ ನಿವೇಶನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟಡದ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಒಂದು ಮೀಟರ್‌ (3 ಅಡಿ 4 ಇಂಚು) ಜಾಗ ಬಿಡಬೇಕು. 30 ಅಡಿ x 40 ಅಡಿ ನಿವೇಶನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ 1.50 ಮೀಟರ್‌ (5 ಅಡಿ) ಸೆಟ್‌ಬ್ಯಾಕ್‌ ಇತ್ತು.

ಹೊಸ ನಿಯಮದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, 30 ಅಡಿ ರಸ್ತೆ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ 250 ಚದರಡಿ ನಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ವರ್ಗಾವಣೆ ಹಕ್ಕು(ಟಿಡಿಆರ್) ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರೀಮಿಯಂ ಎಫ್‌ಎಆರ್ ಅನ್ನೂ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ.

60 x 40 ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 6 ಮನೆ: 200 ಚದರ ಮೀಟರ್‌ನಿಂದ 360 ಚದರ ಮೀಟರ್‌ವರೆಗಿನ ನಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಆರು ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ಹೊಸ ನಿಯಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ 60 ಅಡಿ x 40 ಅಡಿ ನಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಬಹುದಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇನ್ನು, ಹೊಸ ನಿಯಮದಂತೆ 360 ಚದರ ಮೀಟರ್‌ನಿಂದ 750 ಮೀಟರ್‌ವರೆಗಿನ ನಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂಟು ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಎಲ್ಲ ನಿವೇಶನಗಳು ಕನಿಷ್ಠ 9 ಮೀಟರ್‌ (30 ಅಡಿ) ರಸ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರಬೇಕು.

ರ‍್ಯಾಂಪ್‌ಗೆ ವಿನಾಯಿತಿ: ಅಪಾರ್ಟ್‌ಮೆಂಟ್‌ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಸಂಕೀರ್ಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೆಟ್‌ಬ್ಯಾಕ್‌ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ಹೊರತುಪಡಿಸಿ ರ್‍ಯಾಂಪ್‌ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದ ನಿಯಮವನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸೆಟ್‌ಬ್ಯಾಕ್‌ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ವಾಹನಗಳ ರ್‍ಯಾಂಪ್‌ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು. ಈ  ಜಾಗದಿಂದ ಕಾರುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆಳ ಅಥವಾ ಮೇಲಿನ ಅಂತಸ್ತುಗಳಿಗೆ ಲಿಫ್ಟ್‌ ಮಾಡುವ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನೂ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. 25 ಕಾರುಗಳ ನಿಲುಗಡೆಯಿಂದ 800 ಕಾರುಗಳ ನಿಲುಗಡೆವರೆಗಿನ ಪ್ರದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ರ‍್ಯಾಂಪ್‌ ಅಗಲು ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಗದಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.

Maheshwar Rao, the Chief Commissioner of the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA), has directed officials to initiate the first phase of an eco-friendly boating project across 20 lakes within the GBA jurisdiction. This project is a collaborative effort between the GBA and the Department of Tourism, aimed at transforming urban water bodies into sustainable public attraction centers.

Key Directives for Sustainable Development

During a multi-departmental meeting held on Saturday, the Commissioner outlined several core mandates to ensure the ecological integrity of the city's lakes:

 * Zero-Emission Boating: The Commissioner strictly prohibited fuel-based motorboats. Instead, the plan mandates pollution-free, eco-friendly boating systems to protect the air and water quality.

 * Aquatic Life Protection: All recreational activities must adhere to a "zero-pollution" framework to ensure that the delicate aquatic ecosystems and biodiversity are not disturbed.

 * Nature-Based Solutions: Beyond recreation, the GBA will prioritize nature-based principles in all development projects, focusing on climate resilience and effective flood mitigation measures.

Biological Water Management: The Role of Ducks

In an innovative move toward natural water treatment, the Commissioner suggested exploring the introduction of ducks into these lakes.

 * Natural Aeration: Ducks act as biological aerators, helping to circulate oxygen and improve water quality naturally.

 * Tender-Based Maintenance: Officials have been asked to conduct a feasibility study on duck rearing. If viable, the maintenance and care of these birds will be outsourced through a formal legal tender process to ensure professional oversight.

Administrative Workflow and Revenue Generation

Executive Engineer Nitya provided insights into the operational roadmap and the economic benefits for local governance:

 * Selection Criteria: Only large-scale lakes capable of supporting ancillary infrastructure—such as parking facilities and food stalls—will be selected.

 * Approval Process: The GBA will first submit a curated list of lakes to the Karnataka Tank Conservation and Development Authority (KTCDA) for environmental clearance. Once approved, the project will be handed to the Tourism Department for execution.

 * Local Revenue: The project is designed to be self-sustaining. The Tourism Department or the operating vendors will pay a monthly or annual royalty (contribution) to the respective city corporations, creating a new revenue stream for urban maintenance.

Present at the Meeting: The meeting was attended by high-ranking officials including Special Commissioner R. Ramachandran, Chief Engineer Hemalatha, and Executive Engineer Nitya.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಜಿಬಿಎ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ 20 ಕೆರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಸರಸ್ನೇಹಿ ಬೋಟಿಂಗ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಮೊದಲ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಂಭಿಸಲು ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಜಿಬಿಎ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆಯುಕ್ತ  ಮಹೇಶ್ವರ್‌ ರಾವ್‌ ಅವರು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರು.

ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಷಯಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶನಿವಾರ ಸಭೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಅವರು, ಕೆರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಆಕರ್ಷಣಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಾಗಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಬೇಕು. ಈ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮ ಇಲಾಖೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಮನ್ವಯ ಸಾಧಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು.

‘ಕೆರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಣಾ ತಾಣಗಳಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವುದರಿಂದ ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಒಡನಾಟ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಕೆರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಧನ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಬೋಟಿಂಗ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯರಹಿತ, ಪರಿಸರ ಸ್ನೇಹಿ ಬೋಟಿಂಗ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ಯೋಜನೆ ರೂಪಿಸಬೇಕು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಜಲಚರ ಜೀವಜಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ತೊಂದರೆಯಾಗದಂತೆ ಶೂನ್ಯ ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಬೇಕು’ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಜಿಬಿಎ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಹಾಗೂ ಪರಿಸರ ಸ್ನೇಹಿ ತತ್ವಗಳಿಗೆ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕು. ಪರಿಸರ ಸ್ನೇಹಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಆಕರ್ಷಣಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರವಾಹ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಂದ್ರಬಿಂದುವಾಗಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವಂತೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರು.

ಬಾತುಕೋಳಿಗಳು ನೀರಿನ ಸ್ವಾಭಾವಿಕ ‘ಏರೇಟರ್ಸ್’ ಹಾಗೂ ನೀರಿನ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಸುಧಾರಣೆಗೆ ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿವೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕೆರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾತುಕೋಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಕುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಾಧಕ-ಬಾಧಕಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಬೇಕು. ಅದು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ, ಬಾತುಕೋಳಿಗಳ ಪಾಲನೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಹೊಣೆಗಾರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾನೂನಾತ್ಮಕತೆ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಟೆಂಡರ್  ಮೂಲಕ ವಹಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು.

 

ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಸರ ಸ್ನೇಹಿ ತತ್ವಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಇದರಿಂದ ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲಿಕ ಪರಿಸರ ಸ್ಥಿರತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಹವಾಮಾನ ಪ್ರತಿರೋಧ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ವಿಶೇಷ ಆಯುಕ್ತರಾದ ಆರ್. ರಾಮಚಂದ್ರನ್,  ಮುಖ್ಯ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್‌ ಹೇಮಲತಾ, ಕಾರ್ಯಪಾಲಕ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್‌ ನಿತ್ಯಾ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಆದಾಯ

‘ಬೋಟಿಂಗ್‌ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವ ಅನುಕೂಲಕರವಾಗಿರುವ ಕೆರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಟ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಬೋಟಿಂಗ್‌ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಿದ್ದಾಗ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತ ವಾಹನ ನಿಲುಗಡೆ, ತಿಂಡಿ–ತಿನುಸುಗಳ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಇರಬೇಕು. ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾದ ಕೆರೆಗಳನ್ನೇ ಗುರುತಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಜಿಬಿಎ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೆರೆಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿ ತಯಾರಿಸಿ, ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಕೆರೆ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ (ಕೆಟಿಸಿಡಿಎ) ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವರಿಂದ ಸಮ್ಮತಿ ದೊರೆತ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮ ಇಲಾಖೆಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಜಿಬಿಎ ಕಾರ್ಯಪಾಲಕ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್‌ ನಿತ್ಯಾ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

‘ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಬೋಟಿಂಗ್‌ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಲು ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕೆರೆಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ತಿಂಗಳು ಅಥವಾ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ವಂತಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಆಯಾ ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಪಾವತಿಸಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.

'Vishwaguru Basavanna Biodiversity Park' to be Developed on 153 Acres in Yelahanka

Approval granted for the city's third-largest park

Bengaluru: The State Cabinet has approved the construction of a massive park named after Basavanna in Yelahanka, which will be the largest in the city after Lalbagh and Cubbon Park.

Forest Minister Eshwar B. Khandre informed reporters that the Cabinet meeting held on Friday approved the creation of the ‘Vishwaguru Basavanna Biodiversity Park’ on 153 acres of land belonging to the Forest Department in Yelahanka.

"A sum of ₹50 crore has been sanctioned to develop this area as a vital 'lung space' and recreation center for Bengaluru. I thank Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and all cabinet colleagues for this," the Minister said.

"Lalbagh was built 265 years ago in 1760 on 240 acres. Cubbon Park was established 155 years ago in 1870 on 197 acres. While many small parks have been built in the city since Cubbon Park’s inception, none have been on such a large scale. Therefore, this will be dedicated to the public as the city's third-largest biodiversity park," he added.

Key Details of the Project:

•  * Location: The park will be developed in Madappanahalli near Yelahanka, Bengaluru North Taluk.
•  * Land Recovery: The land was previously handed over to the Karnataka Forest Development Corporation for plantations. It has now been reclaimed by the Forest Department.
•  * Afforestation: Eucalyptus trees currently on the site will be removed in phases. In their place, hundreds of indigenous species such as Nandi, Honne, Bilva, and Maha Bilva will be planted.
•  * Education: To create awareness for future generations, information boards with scientific names and species details will be placed near the trees so that visitors can identify at least 50 different types of trees.
•  * Features: Plans include a medicinal plant garden (Divyaushadhi Vana), a bird sanctuary (Pakshi Loka), an arboretum, and an interpretation center.
• The park is located very close to the Dr. K. Shivaram Karanth Layout developed by the BDA.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಲಾಲ್‌ಬಾಗ್‌, ಕಬ್ಬನ್‌ ಪಾರ್ಕ್‌ ನಂತರ, ಬಸವಣ್ಣನವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿದೊಡ್ಡ ಉದ್ಯಾನವನ್ನು ಯಲಹಂಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಲು ಸಚಿವ ಸಂಪುಟ ಸಭೆ ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ.

ಯಲಹಂಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ 153 ಎಕರೆ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ‘ವಿಶ್ವಗುರು ಬಸವಣ್ಣ ಜೀವವೈವಿಧ್ಯ ಉದ್ಯಾನ’ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ನಡೆದ ಸಚಿವ ಸಂಪುಟ ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅರಣ್ಯ ಸಚಿವ ಈಶ್ವರ ಬಿ. ಖಂಡ್ರೆ ಅವರು ಸುದ್ದಿಗಾರರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

‘ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ಅತ್ಯಗತ್ಯವಾದ ಶ್ವಾಸತಾಣ ಮತ್ತು ಮನೋಲ್ಲಾಸ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಲು ₹50 ಕೋಟಿ ಮಂಜೂರು ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಂಪುಟ ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು’ ಎಂದರು.

‘265 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ 1760ರಲ್ಲಿ 240 ಎಕರೆ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾಲ್‌ಬಾಗ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಿತ್ತು. 155 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ 1870ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಬ್ಬನ್ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ 197 ಎಕರೆ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಬ್ಬನ್ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾದ 155 ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವು ಸಣ್ಣ ಉದ್ಯಾನಗಳು ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಿವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಉದ್ಯಾನವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ, ನಗರದ ಮೂರನೇ ಅತಿದೊಡ್ಡ ಜೀವವೈವಿಧ್ಯ ಉದ್ಯಾನವಾಗಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಉತ್ತರ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಯಲಹಂಕ ಬಳಿಯ ಮಾದಪ್ಪನಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 153 ಎಕರೆ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ‘ವಿಶ್ವಗುರು ಬಸವಣ್ಣ ಜೀವವೈವಿಧ್ಯ ಉದ್ಯಾನ’ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆ ನೆಡುತೋಪು ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ನಿಗಮಕ್ಕೆ ನೀಡಿತ್ತು. ಆ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ಮರಳಿ ಇಲಾಖೆಗೆ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಇಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನೀಲಗಿರಿ ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂತಹಂತವಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದು, ನಂದಿ, ಹೊನ್ನೆ, ಬಿಲ್ವ, ಮಹಾಬಿಲ್ವವೇ ಮೊದಲಾದ ನೂರಾರು ಪ್ರಭೇದದ ಸಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಟ್ಟು ಬೆಳೆಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಹೀಗೆ ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ಎಲ್ಲ ಮರಗಳ ಬಳಿ ವೃಕ್ಷದ ಹೆಸರು, ಪ್ರಭೇದ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ವಿವರದ ಫಲಕ ಹಾಕುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ 50 ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸುವಂತೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಲು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ದಿವ್ಯೌಷಧೀಯ ಸಸ್ಯ ವನ, ಪಕ್ಷಿ ಲೋಕ, ವೃಕ್ಷೋದ್ಯಾನ ಹಾಗೂ ಇಂಟರ್‌ಪ್ರಿಟೇಷನ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಲು ಚಿಂತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಉದ್ಯಾನ ಬಿಡಿಎ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿರುವ ಶಿವರಾಮಕಾರಂತ ಬಡಾವಣೆಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

Bengaluru: BDA (Bangalore Development Authority) officials have announced that approximately 50 acres of land are available in the Challaghatta and Bhimanakuppe survey numbers currently under BDA possession. Out of this, 25 acres have been earmarked for the Skydeck project and other commercial purposes.

Initially, the Skydeck was planned for Survey Nos. 39, 40, and 41 in Ramasandra, adjacent to the NICE Road. The project was supposed to utilize 33 acres, including 8 acres and 33 guntas previously allotted by the KIADB (Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board) that NICE had not utilized. However, due to legal objections raised by the NICE company, the project site has been shifted approximately one kilometer away to land owned by the BDA. Officials stated that the process of handing over the land from the Bengaluru Deputy Commissioner is in its final stages and will be completed soon.

The officials further noted that the proposed Skydeck site will be connected to the Major Arterial Road (MAR) being constructed by the BDA between Mysore Road and Magadi Road.

"NICE Opposed Land Allotment; We Will Teach Them a Lesson": D.K. Shivakumar

Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar confirmed that the Skydeck will be constructed on BDA land. "The site is being identified to ensure the tower does not interfere with flight paths," he stated.

Speaking on Thursday after inspecting the Skydeck site and road works near the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout developed by the BDA in Challaghatta and Bhimanakuppe, he said:

"We had decided to take back KIADB land previously given to NICE. However, the NICE management has raised objections. They seem to think they are bigger than the government. Therefore, we are finding an alternative route. We know how to teach them a lesson. Consequently, we have identified BDA land elsewhere for the Skydeck."

New Loop Inaugurated at Hebbal

On Thursday, D.K. Shivakumar officially inaugurated the new loop on the Hebbal Junction flyover.

"The second loop of the Hebbal flyover will facilitate smoother traffic for people traveling to the International Airport and the northern parts of Bengaluru. This will help alleviate traffic congestion," he said.

He also shared future plans for the area:

 * Tunnel Road: A 1.5 km tunnel road is planned for this sector in the coming days.

 * Flyover Expansion: The flyover will extend toward Mekhri Circle and will be built in three phases.

 * ORR Connectivity: Plans are underway to connect Tumakuru Road to K.R. Puram via a flyover on the Outer Ring Road (ORR).

BDA’s 50th Anniversary Initiatives

"As the BDA enters its 50th year, it is undertaking historic projects unlike any seen before in my political career," Shivakumar added. He highlighted the 120 km Bengaluru Business Corridor (BBC), for which land is being acquired. As compensation, farmers are being offered 35% developed commercial land. Additionally, he noted that fair compensation is being provided to farmers for the construction of small townships.

‘ಬಿಡಿಎ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಚಲ್ಲಘಟ್ಟ ಹಾಗೂ ಭೀಮನಕುಪ್ಪೆ ಸರ್ವೆ ನಂಬರ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 50 ಎಕರೆ ಜಾಗವಿದ್ದು, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ 25 ಎಕರೆ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ಸ್ಕೈಡೆಕ್‌ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರೆ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಬಿಡಿಎ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

‘ನೈಸ್‌ ರಸ್ತೆಗೆ ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಂಡಂತಿರುವ ರಾಮಸಂದ್ರದ ಸರ್ವೆ ನಂ. 39, 40, 41ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಕೈಡೆಕ್‌ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಪ್ರದೇಶಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮಂಡಳಿ (ಕೆಐಎಡಿಬಿ) ನೀಡಿದ್ದ 8 ಎಕರೆ 33 ಗುಂಟೆಯನ್ನು ನೈಸ್‌ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಭೂಮಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಒಟ್ಟು 33 ಎಕರೆ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಕೈಡೆಕ್‌ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ, ನೈಸ್‌ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ತಕಾರಿನಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು ಒಂದು ಕಿ.ಮೀ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡಿಎ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲೇ ಸ್ಕೈಡೆಕ್‌ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಭೂಮಿ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿಯವರಿಂದ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಮಾತ್ರ ಬಾಕಿ ಉಳಿದಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಶೀಘ್ರವೇ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಮೈಸೂರು ರಸ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾಗಡಿ ರಸ್ತೆ ನಡುವೆ ಬಿಡಿಎ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ‘ಪ್ರಮುಖ ರಸ್ತೆ’ಗೂ (ಎಂಎಆರ್‌) ಇದೀಗ, ಸ್ಕೈಡೆಕ್‌ಗೆ ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿರುವ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೂ ಸಂಪರ್ಕವಿದರಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

‘ನೈಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಕೆಐಎಡಿಬಿ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದೆವು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ನೈಸ್‌ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯವರು ತಕರಾರು ಎತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡವರು ಎಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಬೇರೆ ದಾರಿ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಪಾಠ ಕಲಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದು ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ಕೈಡೆಕ್‌ಗಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಬೇರೆ ಕಡೆ ಬಿಡಿಎ ಜಾಗ ಗುರುತಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ’ ಎಂದು ಸುದ್ದಿಗಾರರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಲೂಪ್‌ಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆ: ಹೆಬ್ಬಾಳ ಜಂಕ್ಷನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮೇಲ್ಸೇತುವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಲೂಪ್‌ಗೆ ಡಿ.ಕೆ. ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್‌ ಅವರು ಗುರುವಾರ ಅಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

‘ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಉತ್ತರ ಭಾಗದ ಜನರ ಸುಗಮ ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಬ್ಬಾಳ ಮೇಲ್ಸೇತುವೆಯ ಎರಡನೇ ಲೂಪ್‌ ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಂಚಾರ ದಟ್ಟಣೆ ನಿವಾರಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ’ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

‘ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೂವರೇ ಕಿ.ಮೀ ಸುರಂಗ ರಸ್ತೆ ಬರಲಿದೆ. ಮೇಖ್ರಿ ವೃತ್ತದ ಬಳಿಯತ್ತ ಮೇಲ್ಸೇತುವೆ ಸಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಮೂರು ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ತುಮಕೂರು ರಸ್ತೆಯಿಂದ ಕೆ.ಆರ್ ಪುರದವರೆಗೆ ಮೇಲ್ಸೇತುವೆ ಮೂಲಕ ಹೊರ ವರ್ತುಲ ರಸ್ತೆ (ಒಆರ್ ಆರ್) ಮಾಡಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ’ ಎಂದು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.

‘ಬಿಡಿಎ ಈ ವರ್ಷ 50ನೇ ವಸಂತಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಲಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು, ನನ್ನ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದೆಂದೂ ಮಾಡಲಾಗದ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. 120 ಕಿ.ಮೀ ಉದ್ದದ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಬಿಸಿನೆಸ್ ಕಾರಿಡಾರ್ (ಬಿಬಿಸಿ) ಅನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಯರೂಪಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲು ರೈತರ ಬಳಿ ಭೂಸ್ವಾಧೀನ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಶೇ 35ರಷ್ಟು ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾರವಾಗಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಜತೆಗೆ, ಸಣ್ಣ ಟೌನ್ ಶಿಪ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಪರಿಹಾರ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ’ ಎಂದರು.
