Bengaluru: It is proposed to create a total of 450 wards in five municipal corporations under the BBMP jurisdiction, for which 23 thousand staff are required. An additional 4,899 posts will have to be recruited in addition to the existing employees.
With the formation of the Greater Bangalore Authority (GBA), and the final notification day of the five municipal corporations approaching, BBMP officials have submitted a proposal to the government for sanctioning the required posts for the municipal corporations including GBA, Bangalore Solid Waste Management Limited (BSWML), and Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF).
Earlier, a proposal was submitted to create a total of 550 wards, with 110 wards each in the five municipal corporations. This would have cost an additional ₹298 crore annually in administrative terms. Therefore, a revised proposal has been submitted and a total of 100 wards have been cut. This will cost an additional ₹137 crore annually in administrative terms. There is a saving of ₹161 crore. It has been stated that the staff salaries have been considered as per the 7th Pay Commission.
The maximum number of staff (16,807) is required in the sanitation department. The posts of Manager, FDA, Stenographer, SDA, Group D, Driver, Typist, Dafedar have been identified as ‘Ministerial Staff’ and 1,580 posts have been created. Revenue, Public Health, Engineer posts are next.
Two Chief Engineer posts each have been created in GBA, BSWML and five urban corporations. There will be five Chief Engineers and five Superintending Engineers in B-Smile. There will be two Superintending Engineers each, ten Executive Engineers each, 40 Assistant Executive Engineers each, 90 Assistant Engineers each, and 30 Junior Engineer posts each, with a total of 979 engineer posts created in the proposal. Currently, 540 engineers are working.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟು 450 ವಾರ್ಡ್ಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಲು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ 23 ಸಾವಿರ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತವಿರುವ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿಯಾಗಿ 4,899 ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳಿಗೆ ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಗ್ರೇಟರ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರ (ಜಿಬಿಎ) ರಚನೆಯಾಗಿ, ಐದು ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳ ಅಂತಿಮ ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆ ದಿನ ಸನ್ನಿಹಿತವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ, ಜಿಬಿಎ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳು, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಘನತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ನಿಯಮಿತ (ಬಿಎಸ್ಡಬ್ಲ್ಯುಎಂಎಲ್), ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮೆಟ್ರೊ ಪಾಲಿಟನ್ ಟಾಸ್ಕ್ ಫೋರ್ಸ್ಗೆ (ಬಿಎಂಟಿಎಫ್) ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳ ಮಂಜೂರಿಗೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಐದು ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಲಾ 110 ವಾರ್ಡ್ಗಳಂತೆ ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ 550 ವಾರ್ಡ್ಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಲು ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇದರಿಂದ ಆಡಳಿತಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ₹298 ಕೋಟಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿಯಾಗಿ ವೆಚ್ಚವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಪುನರ್ವಿಮರ್ಶಿತ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವವನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ 100 ವಾರ್ಡ್ಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿತಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಆಡಳಿತಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ₹137 ಕೋಟಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ವೆಚ್ಚವಾಗಲಿದೆ. ₹161 ಕೋಟಿ ಉಳಿತಾಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. 7ನೇ ವೇತನ ಆಯೋಗದಂತೆ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವೇತನವನ್ನು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ನೈರ್ಮಲ್ಯ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿಹೆಚ್ಚು (16,807) ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ. ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕರು, ಎಫ್ಡಿಎ, ಸ್ಟೆನೊಗ್ರಾಫರ್, ಎಸ್ಡಿಎ, ಗ್ರೂಪ್ ಡಿ, ಚಾಲಕ, ಟೈಪಿಸ್ಟ್, ದಫೆದಾರ್ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ‘ಮಿನಿಸ್ಟೇರಿಯಲ್ ಸ್ಟಾಫ್’ ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, 1,580 ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಂದಾಯ, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ, ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳು ನಂತರದ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿವೆ.
ಜಿಬಿಎ, ಬಿಎಸ್ಡಬ್ಲ್ಯುಎಂಎಲ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಐದು ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಲಾ ಎರಡು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಹುದ್ದೆ ಸೃಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಬಿ–ಸ್ಮೈಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಐವರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್, ಐವರು ಅಧೀಕ್ಷಕ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ಗಳಿರಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಲಾ ಇಬ್ವರು ಅಧೀಕ್ಷಕ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್, ತಲಾ ಹತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯಪಾಲಕ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್, ತಲಾ 40 ಸಹಾಯಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಪಾಲಕ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್, ತಲಾ 90 ಸಹಾಯಕ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್, ತಲಾ 30 ಕಿರಿಯ
