In the bylaws of the association (2.6) the objective of helping the needy is mentioned. However, so far no such work has been done by the club. The system of providing free meals to thousands of people should not be continued. Also the trust should be cancelled. Social responsibility does not need to be paid for. Millions of blessings will come...:
'Every day we will sweep the garbage in this area, we will clean everything. They used to have good lunch in the afternoon. Was very happy. But it has stopped. If they give us food, they will get crores of blessings (punya),' said three or four poura karmikas working around the Cosmopolitan Club.
The words heard in the general meeting
- * They eat in the parking lot, if we go to park the car, the smell of cooking, the smell of vegetables and onions will come. Should we look at this?
- * There is no need to provide food for those who do not get food. Make arrangements for club license renewal.
- * 'Even though there is no flour in the stomach, it is like the need of jasmine flower for the hair. No need for mid-day meal.
- * If you have such a noble cause, give them the Akshaya patra food of ISKCON. They will serrve where you tell them. Not here.
- * This is not a social club, but an entertainment club. Bylaw, Constitution not Supreme. Act Supreme. All facilities here are for members only.
- * 50% of the CSR fund should be given to the trust. Not a single penny has arrived. Confusion about a sacred task like lunch?
- * In lieu of social work, the club may purchase shuttle racquets, tennis balls, liquor and other items from sponsors.
