15th Finance Grant: State Govt approved the Micro-Plan

Bengaluru: The state government has approved an action plan for 10 activities to improve air quality under the 15th Finance Commission grant under BBMP.
The BBMP had prepared the plans with a grant of ₹140 crore scheduled for the year 2021-22 and submitted them to the government. This grant is to be utilized during the period 2021-2026. Grants will be released to various departments including State Pollution Control Board, Transport Department, Traffic Police. Accordingly, BBMP has prepared a micro-plan.
The state government, which has approved this action plan, has imposed 12 conditions. Technical sanction should be obtained for the works, tenders should be invited through e-procurement as per KTPP rules. The tender should be approved and implemented.
The works in the action plan should not be considered in other projects. Completion of approved works and submit certificate to Govt. BBMP should ensure that all works are of good quality. The activity should be completed within the stipulated time.
Guidelines of Union Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Central and State Pollution Control Boards should be followed. Action should be taken to achieve the annual target. Inspection should be done by a third party. If the change is necessary during the implementation of the work, approval should be obtained from the government. Funds should be transferred to implementing departments. It has been ordered that a quarterly report on the implementation of the works should be submitted to the Government and the State Pollution Control Board.
