Skydeck to be Built in Challaghatta–Bhimanakuppe

Bengaluru: BDA (Bangalore Development Authority) officials have announced that approximately 50 acres of land are available in the Challaghatta and Bhimanakuppe survey numbers currently under BDA possession. Out of this, 25 acres have been earmarked for the Skydeck project and other commercial purposes.

Initially, the Skydeck was planned for Survey Nos. 39, 40, and 41 in Ramasandra, adjacent to the NICE Road. The project was supposed to utilize 33 acres, including 8 acres and 33 guntas previously allotted by the KIADB (Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board) that NICE had not utilized. However, due to legal objections raised by the NICE company, the project site has been shifted approximately one kilometer away to land owned by the BDA. Officials stated that the process of handing over the land from the Bengaluru Deputy Commissioner is in its final stages and will be completed soon.

The officials further noted that the proposed Skydeck site will be connected to the Major Arterial Road (MAR) being constructed by the BDA between Mysore Road and Magadi Road.

Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar confirmed that the Skydeck will be constructed on BDA land. "The site is being identified to ensure the tower does not interfere with flight paths," he stated.

Speaking on Thursday after inspecting the Skydeck site and road works near the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout developed by the BDA in Challaghatta and Bhimanakuppe, he said:

"We had decided to take back KIADB land previously given to NICE. However, the NICE management has raised objections. They seem to think they are bigger than the government. Therefore, we are finding an alternative route. We know how to teach them a lesson. Consequently, we have identified BDA land elsewhere for the Skydeck."

New Loop Inaugurated at Hebbal

On Thursday, D.K. Shivakumar officially inaugurated the new loop on the Hebbal Junction flyover.

"The second loop of the Hebbal flyover will facilitate smoother traffic for people traveling to the International Airport and the northern parts of Bengaluru. This will help alleviate traffic congestion," he said.

He also shared future plans for the area:

 * Tunnel Road: A 1.5 km tunnel road is planned for this sector in the coming days.

 * Flyover Expansion: The flyover will extend toward Mekhri Circle and will be built in three phases.

 * ORR Connectivity: Plans are underway to connect Tumakuru Road to K.R. Puram via a flyover on the Outer Ring Road (ORR).

BDA’s 50th Anniversary Initiatives

"As the BDA enters its 50th year, it is undertaking historic projects unlike any seen before in my political career," Shivakumar added. He highlighted the 120 km Bengaluru Business Corridor (BBC), for which land is being acquired. As compensation, farmers are being offered 35% developed commercial land. Additionally, he noted that fair compensation is being provided to farmers for the construction of small townships.

‘ಬಿಡಿಎ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಚಲ್ಲಘಟ್ಟ ಹಾಗೂ ಭೀಮನಕುಪ್ಪೆ ಸರ್ವೆ ನಂಬರ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 50 ಎಕರೆ ಜಾಗವಿದ್ದು, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ 25 ಎಕರೆ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ಸ್ಕೈಡೆಕ್‌ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರೆ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಬಿಡಿಎ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

‘ನೈಸ್‌ ರಸ್ತೆಗೆ ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಂಡಂತಿರುವ ರಾಮಸಂದ್ರದ ಸರ್ವೆ ನಂ. 39, 40, 41ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಕೈಡೆಕ್‌ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಪ್ರದೇಶಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮಂಡಳಿ (ಕೆಐಎಡಿಬಿ) ನೀಡಿದ್ದ 8 ಎಕರೆ 33 ಗುಂಟೆಯನ್ನು ನೈಸ್‌ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಭೂಮಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಒಟ್ಟು 33 ಎಕರೆ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಕೈಡೆಕ್‌ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ, ನೈಸ್‌ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ತಕಾರಿನಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು ಒಂದು ಕಿ.ಮೀ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡಿಎ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲೇ ಸ್ಕೈಡೆಕ್‌ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಭೂಮಿ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿಯವರಿಂದ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಮಾತ್ರ ಬಾಕಿ ಉಳಿದಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಶೀಘ್ರವೇ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಮೈಸೂರು ರಸ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾಗಡಿ ರಸ್ತೆ ನಡುವೆ ಬಿಡಿಎ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ‘ಪ್ರಮುಖ ರಸ್ತೆ’ಗೂ (ಎಂಎಆರ್‌) ಇದೀಗ, ಸ್ಕೈಡೆಕ್‌ಗೆ ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿರುವ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೂ ಸಂಪರ್ಕವಿದರಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಬಿಡಿಎ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲೇ ಸ್ಕೈಡೆಕ್‌ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ವಿಮಾನ ಹಾರಾಟಕ್ಕೆ ಗೋಪುರದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಇರದಂತೆ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಉಪ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಡಿ.ಕೆ. ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಚಲ್ಲಘಟ್ಟ, ಭೀಮನಕುಪ್ಪೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡಿಎ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿರುವ ನಾಡಪ್ರಭು ಕೆಂಪೇಗೌಡ ಬಡಾವಣೆ ಸಮೀಪ ಸ್ಕೈಡೆಕ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಸ್ಥಳ ಮತ್ತು ರಸ್ತೆ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಗುರುವಾರ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.

‘ನೈಸ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಕೆಐಎಡಿಬಿ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದೆವು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ನೈಸ್‌ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯವರು ತಕರಾರು ಎತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡವರು ಎಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಬೇರೆ ದಾರಿ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಪಾಠ ಕಲಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದು ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಸ್ಕೈಡೆಕ್‌ಗಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಬೇರೆ ಕಡೆ ಬಿಡಿಎ ಜಾಗ ಗುರುತಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ’ ಎಂದು ಸುದ್ದಿಗಾರರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಲೂಪ್‌ಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆ: ಹೆಬ್ಬಾಳ ಜಂಕ್ಷನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮೇಲ್ಸೇತುವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಲೂಪ್‌ಗೆ ಡಿ.ಕೆ. ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್‌ ಅವರು ಗುರುವಾರ ಅಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

‘ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಉತ್ತರ ಭಾಗದ ಜನರ ಸುಗಮ ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಬ್ಬಾಳ ಮೇಲ್ಸೇತುವೆಯ ಎರಡನೇ ಲೂಪ್‌ ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಂಚಾರ ದಟ್ಟಣೆ ನಿವಾರಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ’ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

‘ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೂವರೇ ಕಿ.ಮೀ ಸುರಂಗ ರಸ್ತೆ ಬರಲಿದೆ. ಮೇಖ್ರಿ ವೃತ್ತದ ಬಳಿಯತ್ತ ಮೇಲ್ಸೇತುವೆ ಸಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಮೂರು ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ತುಮಕೂರು ರಸ್ತೆಯಿಂದ ಕೆ.ಆರ್ ಪುರದವರೆಗೆ ಮೇಲ್ಸೇತುವೆ ಮೂಲಕ ಹೊರ ವರ್ತುಲ ರಸ್ತೆ (ಒಆರ್ ಆರ್) ಮಾಡಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ’ ಎಂದು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.

‘ಬಿಡಿಎ ಈ ವರ್ಷ 50ನೇ ವಸಂತಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಲಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು, ನನ್ನ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದೆಂದೂ ಮಾಡಲಾಗದ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. 120 ಕಿ.ಮೀ ಉದ್ದದ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಬಿಸಿನೆಸ್ ಕಾರಿಡಾರ್ (ಬಿಬಿಸಿ) ಅನ್ನು ಕಾರ್ಯರೂಪಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲು ರೈತರ ಬಳಿ ಭೂಸ್ವಾಧೀನ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಶೇ 35ರಷ್ಟು ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾರವಾಗಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಜತೆಗೆ, ಸಣ್ಣ ಟೌನ್ ಶಿಪ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಪರಿಹಾರ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ’ ಎಂದರು.
