White topping work: Consideration for construction of temporary ‘valley bridge’ 

‘White topping and black topping work is becoming a problem on roads with high traffic. In such a situation, ‘valley bridges’ are being considered for temporary installation,’ said GBA Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao.

‘A Kolkata-based company has given details about the valley bridge and said that it will help in carrying out works smoothly in urban areas. A temporary bridge can be constructed and road works can be carried out below. It has been said that if a 20-meter to 30-meter bridge is made, it will be convenient. The extent to which this will be convenient will be examined. It is said that it will cost about ₹4 crore to ₹5 crore,’ he informed.

‘It will take about a week to install this bridge. During that time, people will be inconvenienced. All this needs to be examined. It is being considered to introduce it to the city corporations after considering the pros and cons. If local startups have any solutions to ensure smooth work without disrupting traffic, they can share them with the GBA, he said.

“People are inconvenienced by road works in urban areas. Long-term solutions are being considered to reduce that,” he said.

ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಯಾಗದಂತೆ ವೈಟ್ ಟಾಪಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ನಡೆಸಲು ಚಿಂತನೆ 

‘ಅತಿಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಾಹನ ದಟ್ಟಣೆ ಇರುವ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವೈಟ್‌ ಟಾಪಿಂಗ್, ಬ್ಲ್ಯಾಕ್‌ ಟಾಪಿಂಗ್‌ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ‘ವ್ಯಾಲಿ ಬ್ರಿಡ್ಜ್’ಗಳನ್ನು ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಲು ಚಿಂತಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಜಿಬಿಎ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಮಹೇಶ್ವರ್‌ ರಾವ್‌ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

‘ಕೊಲ್ಕತದ ಕಂಪನಿಯೊಂದು ವ್ಯಾಲಿ ಬ್ರಿಡ್ಜ್‌ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿವರ ನೀಡಿದ್ದು, ನಗರ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಗಮವಾಗಿ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲು ಇದು ಸಹಾಯಕವಾಗಲಿದೆ. ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕವಾಗಿ ಸೇತುವೆಯನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿ, ಕೆಳಗೆ ರಸ್ತೆ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಬಹುದು. 20 ಮೀಟರ್‌ನಿಂದ 30 ಮೀಟರ್‌ ಸೇತುವೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ಅನುಕೂಲ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಎಷ್ಟರ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸುಮಾರು ₹4 ಕೋಟಿಯಿಂದ ₹5 ಕೋಟಿ ವೆಚ್ಚವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.

‘ಈ ಸೇತುವೆಯನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಲು ಸುಮಾರು ಒಂದು ವಾರ ಸಮಯ ಬೇಕು. ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ ತೊಂದರೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಾಧಕ–ಬಾಧಕಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಂಡು ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಅಲವಡಿಸಲು ಚಿಂತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸ್ಟಾರ್ಟ್‌ ಅಪ್‌ಗಳು ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಧಕ್ಕೆಯಾಗದಂತೆ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಸುಗಮವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯಲು ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ಪರಿಹಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದರೆ ಜಿಬಿಎಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು’ ಎಂದರು.

‘ನಗರ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಸ್ತೆ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ನಡೆಯುವಾಗಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ ತೊಂದರೆ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಲು ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲದ ಪರಿಹಾರಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚಿಂತಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ’ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
