Bengaluru: Air pollution in the district headquarters of the state has reduced by 37 percent compared to the first day of Deepawali last year, but it has reduced by 13 percent compared to normal days.

On the first day of Deepawali, October 20, Bidar recorded the highest air pollution (Air Quality Index – AQI). It has increased by 42 percent compared to the previous year. Dharwad, Shivamogga, and Belgaum are next.

Yadgir has the lowest air pollution by 188 percent, with a 188 percent decrease in AQI. Uttara Kannada, Ramanagara, Gadag, Davangere, Mysore, and Kodagu are next.

Noise pollution increased by an average of 5 percent in the state on a normal day (October 13) and the first day of Deepawali compared to the first day of last Diwali. The average noise pollution level is 75 decibels, which was recorded on October 13, 2025 at 73.96 decibels. On October 20, the first day of Diwali, it was 77.73 decibels.

Lower in Bengaluru too: 

AQI was recorded at 11 centers in Bengaluru set up by the State Pollution Control Board. On an average, 7 percent less pollution was recorded on October 20, the first day of Diwali, compared to October 13. Compared to the first day of Diwali in 2024, 98 percent less pollution was recorded.

Air pollution was 52 percent higher in Peenya (AQI-62), 14 percent in Kasturinagar (AQI-72), and 6 percent higher at the city railway station (AQI-104) than on a normal day.

Noise pollution increased in Yeshwantpur Police Station (10%), Domlur (6%), Whitefield (5%), Church Street (1%), Peenya (1%).

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷದ ದೀಪಾವಳಿಯ ಮೊದಲ ದಿನಕ್ಕಿಂತ ವಾಯು ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯ ಶೇ 37ರಷ್ಟು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ದಿನಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿದರೆ ಶೇ 13ರಷ್ಟು ಇಳಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ದೀಪಾವಳಿಯ ಮೊದಲ ದಿನ ಅ.20ರಂದು ಬೀದರ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಾಯು ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯ (ವಾಯು ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟ ಇಂಡೆಕ್ಸ್‌– ಎಕ್ಯೂಐ) ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಶೇ 42ರಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ. ಧಾರವಾಡ, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ, ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ನಂತರದ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿವೆ.

ಯಾದಗಿರಿ ಶೇ 188ರಷ್ಟು ವಾಯು ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಎಕ್ಯೂಐನಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇ 188ರಷ್ಟು ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ, ರಾಮನಗರ, ಗದಗ, ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ, ಮೈಸೂರು, ಕೊಡಗು ನಂತರದ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿವೆ.

ಶಬ್ದ ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ದಿನ (ಅ.13) ಹಾಗೂ ದೀಪಾವಳಿಯ ಮೊದಲ ದಿನ ಕಳೆದ ದೀಪಾವಳಿಯ ಮೊದಲ ದಿನಕ್ಕಿಂತ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಾಸರಿ ಶೇ 5ರಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ. ಶಬ್ದ ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯದ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಮಾಪನ 75 ಡೆಸಿಬಲ್‌ ಆಗಿದ್ದು, 2025 ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್‌ 13ರಂದು 73.96 ಡೆಸಿಬಲ್‌ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ದೀಪಾವಳಿಯ ಮೊದಲ ದಿನ ಅ.20ರಂದು 77.73 ಡೆಸಿಬಲ್‌ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲೂ ಕಡಿಮೆ: ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿರುವ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ 11 ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎಕ್ಯೂಐ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅ.13ಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿದರೆ ದೀಪಾವಳಿಯ ಮೊದಲ ದಿನ ಅ.20ರಂದು ಸರಾಸರಿ ಶೇ 7ರಷ್ಟು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಯು ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ. 2024 ದೀಪವಾಳಿಯ ಮೊದಲದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿದರೆ ಶೇ 98ರಷ್ಟು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಪೀಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇ 52ರಷ್ಟು (ಎಕ್ಯೂಐ–62), ಕಸ್ತೂರಿನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇ 14 (ಎಕ್ಯೂಐ–72), ನಗರ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇ 6ರಷ್ಟು (ಎಕ್ಯೂಐ– 104) ವಾಯು ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ದಿನಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ.

ಯಶವಂತಪುರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ ಠಾಣೆ (ಶೇ 10), ದೊಮ್ಮಲೂರು (ಶೇ 6), ವೈಟ್‌ಫೀಲ್ಡ್‌ (ಶೇ 5), ಚರ್ಚ್‌ ಸ್ಟ್ರೀಟ್‌ (ಶೇ 1), ಪೀಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ (ಶೇ1) ಶಬ್ದ ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ.
