Bengaluru: The State Election Commission has announced the schedule for preparing ward-wise electoral rolls for the general elections of five CITY corporations under the jurisdiction of the Greater Bangalore Authority (GBA).
An order was issued on October 27 to prepare electoral rolls of five CITY corporations as per Section 35 of the Greater Bangalore Administration Act-2024.
The GBA Chief Commissioner was appointed as the District Election Officer and the CITY Commissioners as Additional District Election Officers to perform all the duties related to the CITY corporation elections and was notified on October 13.
An Election Registration Officer (ARO) and an Assistant Election Registration Officer (AERO) are to be appointed to prepare ward-wise electoral rolls, which are to be handled by the District Election Officers.
A total of 368 ward-wise voter lists of Bangalore Central, South, North, East and West CITY Corporations should be prepared by adopting the voter list of the assembly constituency as per GBA Rules-2025.
A draft voter list should be prepared by adopting the original voter list of the assembly constituencies published on January 1, 2025, and the supplementary list published thereafter. The voter list of the ward should be prepared by keeping the parts of the voter list of the assembly constituency divided within the ward limits intact.
Care should be taken that the number of voters in each part of the voter list, i.e. in each polling booth, does not exceed a maximum of 1,500. The order has directed that the claims and objections received in the voter list should be settled as per the rules.

Nov. 4 to 8: Visiting houses in ward boundaries and verifying the assembly constituency-wise voter list

Nov.22 to 23: Verification of omitted-repeated voters
Nov.24: Re-sorting and confirming parts
Nov.25 to 29: Preparation of 2nd checklist of ward-wise voters
Nov.20 to Dec.2: Verification of 2nd checklist of ward-wise voters
Dec.3 to 7: Approval and printing of ward-wise voter list
Dec. 8: Publication of draft of ward-wise voter list
Dec.9 to 23: House-to-house verification, acceptance of objections
Dec.24 to Jan.7: Verification of objections
Jan.8 to 15: Final checklist of ward-wise voters' list
Jan.16 to 19: Final checklist verification
Jan.20 to 28: Approval and printing of final list of ward-wise voters
Jan.29: Publication of final list of ward-wise voters
Elections in February: GBA
The agenda for preparing voter lists for the CITY elections and finalizing ward re-division was approved in the first meeting of the GBA held on October 10. The State Election Commission has issued an order accordingly.
The final notification of the ward re-division of the CITY corporations will be made by the beginning of November. The State Election Commission will start preparing voter lists on November 30. The State Election Commission is expected to issue a notification for the CITY elections in mid-February 2026, according to the agenda of the first meeting of the GBA.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಗ್ರೇಟರ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರ (ಜಿಬಿಎ) ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಐದು ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳ ಸಾರ್ವತ್ರಿಕ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗೆ ವಾರ್ಡ್ವಾರು ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸುವ ವೇಳಾಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದೆ.
ಗ್ರೇಟರ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಆಡಳಿತ ಕಾಯ್ದೆ–2024ರ ಪ್ರಕರಣ 35ರಂತೆ ಐದು ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳ ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಅ.27ರಂದು ಆದೇಶ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದೆ.
ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲು ಜಿಬಿಎ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆಯುಕ್ತರನ್ನು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಚುನಾವಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳ ಆಯುಕ್ತರನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಚುನಾವಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿ ಅ.13ರಂದು ಅಧಿಸೂಚಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ವಾರ್ಡ್ವಾರು ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿ ತಯಾರಿಸಲು ಮತದಾರರ ನೋಂದಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿ (ಎಆರ್ಒ), ಸಹಾಯಕ ಮತದಾರರ ನೋಂದಣಾಧಿಕರಿ (ಎಇಆರ್ಒ)ಗಳನ್ನು ನೇಮಕ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಿದ್ದು, ಅದನ್ನು ಜಿಲ್ಲ ಚುನಾವಣಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಕೇಂದ್ರ, ದಕ್ಷಿಣ, ಉತ್ತರ, ಪೂರ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳ ಒಟ್ಟು 368 ವಾರ್ಡ್ವಾರು ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಜಿಬಿಎ ನಿಯಮ –2025ರಂತೆ ವಿಧಾನಸಭೆ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ತಯಾರಿಸಬೇಕು.
2025ರ ಜನವರಿ 1ರಂದು ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಿರುವ ವಿಧಾನಸಭೆ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳ ಮೂಲ ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿ, ತದನಂತರ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಿರುವ ಪೂರಕ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ವಾರ್ಡ್ವಾರು ಮತದಾರ ಕರಡು ಪಟ್ಟಿ ತಯಾರಿಸಬೇಕು. ವಾರ್ಡ್ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಭಜನೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ವಿಧಾನಸಭೆ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯ ಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ವಾರ್ಡಿನ ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಬೇಕು.
ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯ ಪ್ರತಿ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದರೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮತಗಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮತದಾರರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ 1,500 ಅನ್ನು ಮೀರದಂತೆ ಎಚ್ಚರ ವಹಿಸಬೇಕು. ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸ್ವೀಕೃತವಾಗುವ ಹಕ್ಕು ಮತ್ತು ಆಕ್ಷೇಪಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಿಯಮಾನುಸಾರ ಇತ್ಯರ್ಥಪಡಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಆದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ನ. 4ರಿಂದ 8: ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಗಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಮನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ವಿಧಾನಸಭೆ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವಾರು ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ

ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗೆ ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಲು, ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಮರುವಿಂಗಡಣೆ ಅಂತಿಮಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಸಮಯ ನಿಗದಿ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಸೂಚಿಗೆ ಅ.10ರಂದು ನಡೆದಿದ್ದ ಜಿಬಿಎ ಮೊದಲ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅದರಂತೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗ, ಆದೇಶ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದೆ.
ನವೆಂಬರ್ ಆರಂಭದೊಳಗೆ ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳ ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಮರು ವಿಂಗಡಣೆ ಅಂತಿಮ ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆಯಾಗಲಿದೆ. ನವೆಂಬರ್ 30ರಂದು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗವು ಮತದಾರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿಗಳ ತಯಾರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. 2026ರ ಫೆಬ್ರುವರಿ ಮಧ್ಯಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಚುನಾವಣಾ ಆಯೋಗ ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗೆ ಅಧಿಸೂಚನೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ಜಿಬಿಎ ಮೊದಲ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಸೂಚಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮೂದಾಗಿತ್ತು.
