One layer of Asphalt for 550 km of roads 

Bengaluru: The GBA has submitted a proposal to the government to lay one layer of Asphalt on 550 km of arterial and sub arterial roads under the jurisdiction of the Greater Bengaluru Authority.

The cost of laying the surface layer of Asphalt will be ₹2 crore per km. It is planned to lay Asphalt on 550 km of roads at a cost of ₹1,100 crore, said GBA Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao.

He said that the tarmac work will start as soon as the government approves it.

The GBA will lay Asphalt on arterial and sub arterial roads whose maintenance period has expired. He said that the respective contractors have been instructed to carry out pothole repair works on roads that are under maintenance.

He said that steps will be taken by the city corporations to close potholes or undertake development works on ward roads as well.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who launched the white topping work in Gandhi Nagar assembly constituency on October 21, had ordered GBA Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao from the stage itself to ‘put one layer of tar on all roads’. Within two days, the GBA submitted a proposal to the government.

Notice for action plan: The Urban Development Department had instructed the GBA on August 15 to submit two action plans costing ₹1,100 crore for the development of arterial and sub arterial roads within the jurisdiction of the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) and ₹1,100 crore for ward road and sewer development.

A proposal for a ₹1,100 crore action plan for the development of arterial and sub arterial roads should be submitted under the Special Infrastructure Capital Support Scheme. It was stated that a proposal should be submitted for the implementation of a ₹1,100 crore action plan for the development of roads, drainage and maintenance works in the wards from the Chief Minister's discretionary fund. 

Although the GBA Chief Commissioner was instructed to obtain both the action plans from the five City corporations, verify them, consolidate them and submit them to the government at the earliest, only a proposal has been submitted for laying one layer of asphalt on 500 km long 

arterial and sub arterial roads

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಗ್ರೇಟರ್ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರದ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 550 ಕಿ.ಮೀ ಉದ್ದದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಉಪ ಮುಖ್ಯ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಲೇಯರ್ ಡಾಂಬರು ಹಾಕಲು ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಜಿಬಿಎ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದೆ.

ಮೇಲ್ಮೈ ಪದರ  ಡಾಂಬರು ಹಾಕಲು ಪ್ರತಿ ಕಿ.ಮೀ ಗೆ ₹2 ಕೋಟಿ ವೆಚ್ಚವಾಗಲಿದೆ. ₹1,100 ಕೋಟಿ ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ 550 ಕಿ.ಮೀ ಉದ್ದದ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಡಾಂಬರು ಹಾಕಲು ಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಜಿಬಿಎ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಮಹೇಶ್ವರ್ ರಾವ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ದೊರೆತ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಡಾಂಬರೀಕರಣ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ನಿರ್ವಹಣಾ ಅವಧಿ ಮುಗಿದಿರುವ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಉಪ ಮುಖ್ಯ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜಿಬಿಎ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಡಾಂಬರು ಹಾಕಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ನಿರ್ವಹಣಾ ಅವಧಿ ಇರುವ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯಾ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆದಾರರಿಂದಲೇ ಗುಂಡಿ ದುರಸ್ತಿ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲು ಸೂಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ವಾರ್ಡ್ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಗುಂಡಿ ಮುಚ್ಚುವ ಅಥವಾ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಗಾಂಧಿ ನಗರ ವಿಧಾನ ಸಭೆ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ವೈಟ್ ಟಾಪಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗೆ ಅ.21ರಂದು ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರು, ‘ ಎಲ್ಲ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳಿಗೆ   ಒಂದು ಲೇಯರ್ ಥಾರ್ ಹಾಕಿ’ ಎಂದು ಜಿಬಿಎ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಮಹೇಶ್ವರ್ ರಾವ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಆದೇಶ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು. ಇದಾದ ಎರಡೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಿಬಿಎ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಕ್ರಿಯಾ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಸೂಚನೆ: ಗ್ರೇಟರ್‌ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರ (ಜಿಬಿಎ) ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಉಪ ಮುಖ್ಯ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ₹1,100 ಕೋಟಿ, ವಾರ್ಡ್‌ ರಸ್ತೆ, ಚರಂಡಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ₹1,100 ಕೋಟಿ ವೆಚ್ಚದ ಎರಡು ಕ್ರಿಯಾಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವಂತೆ ಜಿಬಿಎಗೆ ನಗರಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಆ.15 ರಂದು ಸೂಚಿಸಿತ್ತು.

ಮುಖ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಉಪಮುಖ್ಯ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ₹1,100 ಕೋಟಿ ಕ್ರಿಯಾ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಬಂಡವಾಳ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಯೋಜನೆಯಡಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕು. ವಾರ್ಡ್‌ಗಳ ರಸ್ತೆ, ಚರಂಡಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ, ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳ ₹1,100 ಕೋಟಿ ಕ್ರಿಯಾ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯವರ ವಿವೇಚನಾ ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. 

ಎರಡೂ ಕ್ರಿಯಾ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಐದು ನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಗಳಿಂದ ಪಡೆದು, ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿ, ಕ್ರೋಡೀಕರಿಸಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಶೀಘ್ರ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಜಿಬಿಎ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆಯುಕ್ತರಿಗೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತಾದರೂ, 500 ಕಿ.ಮೀ ಉದ್ದದ 

ಮುಖ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಉಪಮುಖ್ಯ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಲೇಯರ್ ಡಾಂಬರು ಹಾಕಲು ಮಾತ್ರ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
